Kringle Mingle is a wrap and the holiday spirit has officially been kicked off in Cardiff! 🎄✨ Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate, all our amazing volunteers, Cardiff Board members, our sponsors and participants and everyone that donated their time, services and goods! 🙌 Definitely felt the #cardifflove throughout the day! Cardiff-by-the-Sea welcomes you to a free festive holiday celebration for the entire community. Come see Santa in his vintage “Camera Camper” sleigh hosted by Cal Coast Credit Union and get a holiday photo from 1pm – 4pm, Listen and dance to lively musical performances throughout the afternoon with kid favorites Hullabaloo Band and Bucket Ruckus and music from Back to Rock Encinitas teachers and students. Enjoy a cup of warm savory soup from Rimel’s, scrumptious holiday treats including cookies from our local favorite, VG Donuts and cookies from The Crack Shack, Yummy Cupcakes, and Sambazon acai bowls to curb appetites. Hot coffee from Pappalecco, hot chocolate for the kiddos from Cardiff 101 and fresh water from the Mizu hydration station will be offered to quench all’s thirst. Bring your reusable mugs and bottles to fill up as well! A special holiday brew and the Cardiff 101 Hoppy Wheat beer that benefits Cardiff 101 Main Street will be served by Lost Abbey Confessional to spike up the spirit. For the big finale, Supervisor Kristin Gaspar will be flipping the switch at 5 pm for the festive tree lighting ceremony supported by Teresa and Don Barth.

There will be a Children’s Craft Pavilion hosted by Lux Art Institute, holiday shopping, and more. You can win up to $10,000 in gifts at our Gift Basket drawing. There will be a “Gift of Cardiff” basket filled with local goods including Nalu Candles, jewelry from Sandy Sisters, Clay + Craft Modern Ceramics, $50 gift card from Sea + Wander, one month membership from Vinyasa Arts, gift card from Experience Life Chiropractic, clothing from Patagonia Cardiff, Gold Coast Chiropractic and more. A “Cardiff Culture” basket filled with skate, surf and snowboard gear including gear from Nixon, Dakine, Mizu, Thirtytwo, Vertra Etnies and more, or enter a chance to one of three “Capture the Holiday’s” photographic sessions by renowned portrait photographer, Bradford Rowley. And a “Cruise Cardiff” basket featuring a cruiser bike, provided by our friends at Electra Bicycle Co. so you too can cruise Cardiff in style.

There are many of opportunities to get entry tickets to win these holiday baskets. Attend Cardiff 101’s community cleanup Friday, December 1st, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Lost Abbey Confessional and get a ticket for your service. Forget about the hassle of driving and parking, ride your bike the day of the event, valet it for free at the Electra Bike Valet and you will be given a free ticket to win. By shopping, dining or receiving a service at participating businesses on Small Business Saturday, November 25th, December 2nd and 3rd you will get a free ticket to win one of these amazing gift basket prizes. Gift basket tickets can be purchased at the event or will be available by trading in a receipt as proof of purchase from participating businesses listed below. New this year, videographer Grant Reinero will be joining us to capture the event. Look for your family, friends and the holiday magic to be captured in a post event video.
