Cardiff 101 recently interviewed one of our Community Partners and Taste of Cardiff Cup Sponsor, Ting Internet. Since coming to North County, Ting has been involved all throughout the community, and we love working with them. Check out our quick Q&A session and discover all the reasons why we love partnering with Ting!
Q: Give us your best “15-second” elevator pitch on who you are!
A: We are Ting Internet, your local high-speed, fiber internet provider. We are bringing gigabit fiber-to-the-premises Internet access to homes and businesses across Encinitas. We’re not like the other guys. We don’t do contracts, the price creeps and we hate hidden fees.
We are so excited to be bringing our ultrafast, symmetrical fiber internet to Encinitas! Try us out and see for yourself what gigabit speeds can do for you and your home. To learn more or place an order, visit our website at ting.com/encinitas.
Q: Why did you choose to locate your business in North County?
A: Ting Internet is available in 14 towns across the nation. Our budding SoCal presence includes Fullerton, Culver City, Solana Beach, and Encinitas.
Q: What do you love about Taste of Cardiff?
A: We love that Taste of Cardiff brings the town together to celebrate and support local Cardiff businesses. Ting Internet truly values the communities we serve and are proud to support an event like Taste of Cardiff. And, of course, we love being able to try all the new delicious food!
Q: Do you have any future goals or events you would like to mention?
A: Ting Internet thrives off providing a local presence and being able to speak to the people in our community face-to-face. That being said, we try to support and attend as many local events as we can. Here is a list of the next few events we will be at:
Encinitas Wine and Food Festival - June 4
Fiesta Del Sol - May 21 & 22
Switchfoot BRO AM - June 18
Q: As part of your business mission, do you provide a social, environmental, or community benefit?
The Ting Internet mission very much so includes social, environmental, and community benefits. We strive to support local organizations that help the community in any way. These organizations support businesses, animals, students/education, hunger, agriculture, etc. You can count on Ting Internet to do their part in the community.
Our fiber optic internet is the more sustainable option to stay connected to the Internet and here’s why:
Fiber internet uses less water for construction and maintenance.
Fiber internet is more durable and requires less replacement over time.
Fiber networks are more energy efficient in daily operations.
No copper mining is required for the construction or maintenance of the networks.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in North County when you are not working?
A: My perfect day in North County consists of picking up tacos from The Taco Stand in Encinitas and eating them at Moonlight beach during sunset. Tacos + Moonlight Beach were made for each other.
